As Covid continues to be with us, we once again adapted our Christmas activities to be mindful of the safety of our Parishioners and friends.  We were able to have Christmas services this year with the Rev’d Canon Ian Powell, with restrictions.  We required everyone to be double vaccinated, wear masks and preregister for one of 2 services at 4:00pm and 8:00pm.  We were able to sing, although muffled by our masks.  A group of Christmas elves decorated the outside of the church for the Christmas services.

Christmas hampers were once again restricted to small bags with a voucher for groceries and treats prepared by Parishioners from Central Saanich and Holy Trinity.  A note of appreciation from Thea Dickson said “Your wonderful response to our Christmas gift appeal was amazing !  There was such a variety of homemade goodies, the gingerbread , shortbread, Christmas cakes, jam, fruit, & many others.  The children gifts were fun to see and to imagine how happy the children will be on Christmas morning. The other gifts of mittens etc. will be appreciated on these cold days.  I wish you could hear the “Thank you's" when the bags were picked up by Michelle, Mary, Mary Ann & Jamie. We are so thankful to have the parish of Central Saanich join with us . This has been a joint ministry for over a year now. “Draw the Circle wide, Draw it wider still".  Shown in the photo is Michelle from Tsawout First Nation, and Penny Donaldson from out parish.

As Covid continues to challenge us we are adapting to the situation and now are able to provide online services to keep us connected.

A Safe and Happy New Year to all!
